I recently bought a geforce 6800...it was defective when i got it so i sent it back to newegg.com they discontinued it so now i have to pick a new one...i also have a bit more cash now to spend on a card

i have a max of 200 bucks to spend i use a agp system also would prefer nvidia, so let me know your suggestions i was looking at the following cards

I would stay away from sapphire... I would rather get the 6800 due to double the amount of pipes.

it was in their pages of deals on the home page...


if you are willing to spend more... you can also get a 7800 around 300.

lol wish i did had more but 200 is my limit for now after this im saving for a new mother board update to pci express. So this will be my last agp card dont have the cash atm to buy a whole new system for pci express

if your gonna upgrade to PCI-E in the "Near" future. I would just hold off on buying a decent card. ( I would even donate a X300SE to get you going) Its alot more of a pain to upgrade more and more especially when your going from socket changes and CPU changes

Depending on what you upgrade to, you might have to replace your DDR with DDR2, so save the cash and wait until you can do the whole upgrade. That $200 you have to spend now will go for an equally good PCIe card, so there's no point in spending the money twice.....................or, if that was your plan, don't, and add that $200 to the PCIe card you'll buy.
