windows media player... even though all im telling it to do is play a song... without visualization is constantly using like 90-99% of my proc... and it really slows down the computer drastically... like to the point that my screen saver wont even go frame by frame.

no luck with hijack this... nothing in spybot or adaware... its really a brand new install cause its on the new lappy. I had it for about 2 weeks a week and a half of which i didnt have it because it was getting the screen replaced... btw, no dead pixels in new screen. Um... it only happens after about 10-15 minutes of idling. Then it starts this bullshit, and steals all of the system resources... any other ideas.

I would remove the mp3's from the library.

You don't need to add them to WMP, it really serves no purpose.

There's another post on this somewhere around here...........WMP using 100% system resources after a few minutes. It's fixable, just gotta find the post.

I had a similar problem on my girlfriends computer. What fixed it was uninstalling all the audio drivers on the system and downloading the new, even though windows said they were up do date. After that, everything when smoothly.
