ok im a little disappointed...i purchased the 5500 from new egg....and they gave me the old version...as talked about in the 5500 topic review... so i have this one
....is there still a way too hook that up with my ps2? the ps2 audio cords are the standard RCA red and yellow guys |

I would have to say yes. You will probably need a converter for the RCA cords... convert the RCA to the little headphone jack type input. I dont know it that will give you the surround you want. Also, see if your PS2 has an optical out and hook it up that way. (the other guys can help you more with this one, I didn't review it) _________________ P4 3.2ghz

| yea the ps2 has optical or "digital" out on the back...i would just plug this into the back of the console device?....of course having to BUY another cord to hook it up...Also..i have just hooked up the large biatch...only to find out the REAR right speaker isnt working....ive tested it on my sound card software to confirm that....did i just get lucky and get a defective set? or what else could be the problem? |

| correction..its BOth back speakers that dont work...i switched them with different speakers and wires....so its NOT the speakers or the wires themselves....its either software...or the sub where the connects are made decided they would prefer if i didnt get what i paid for ...sick... |

The optical connector for the Logitechs is (I believe) a MONO 1/8" jack. I'm not 100% sure of this, but whichever end of the optical hookup is 1/8", it needs to be a mono plug. A stereo plug will not work. _________________ Big enough to scare you |

| thanks for that info you probably saved me a trip of going back....anyway i go all the speakers to work...apparently the rear speaker cable wasnt fully in....REtarded huh...haha...i feel stupid...anyway its 100% working..and thanks to you guys i know how to hook it up to my ps2....now my last and final qustion is....how exaclty do i mount these bitches...they come on mounts with screw holes on them...but do i simply screw it in my wall...i thought i remembered there being more to it... |
