Problems loading Battlefield 2

I recently installed BF2 on my PC. I then went to the website, downloaded and installed the patch. The game worked fine without the Patch, but after installation, the game crashes back to windows when I try to load it. Any help?

Have you tried upgrading your ATI drivers to 5.13?

Just try reinstalling BF2. That always solved my problems with the game.

BF2 is weird. One time it just corrupted a map for me so I would be playing a server, it would switch to that map then crash. Oh well. I got the Expansion for Christmas can't bring myself to install it yet.
