After a few days of outage...D2OL servers are back. But the stat server was corrupted, and stats needed to be reset. To learn any specifics go to the D2OL forums and read the admins posts.

BUT for team TN...
WE ARE #7 TEAM....WE MUST KEEP OUR POSITION OR BETTER IT!!!

This might be a blessing in disguise for us. Let's go team.

All my nodes are gone !!!!!!!!!! While it was down my 3 new nodes have been crunching away and 3 of them did the 2000 clients i had uploaded. Now ALL my new nodes and old ones are gone. This is crap.

Same here. Went to look at the team page, just to see where we were, and I've been reset to 0. That's 3000 cands and God knows how many confs gone. If I hadn't already been disgusted with D2OL and the "cheating", I'd be really pissed now.

Yea, i think i am done. Untill we find a new project. Was happy wheni got my new psu and mobo. Its what i was waiting for so i could crunch again. When we find a new project i will crunch again, till then i am done.

Ummmm....yes...that's right. That means Fitz, weaZ and I together lost over half a million

BUT!!! on the flipside we have 4 members in the top 100 now and Mr. weaZel is currently number 1

The team has been around number seven, weekly for quite a while. So this might be a blessing if Charles B. can't recover the stats. although he is suppose to be attempting to.
Of course if we quit, we lose by default.

Correction: we have 5 members in the top 100, and that includes the #1 position. We are also currently #6 in the standings. It's like a whole new race from today forward.

I still can't commit to any crunching, but I'll be following the team. Just can't afford the power bills keeping my rig running 24/7 ATM.

Power is a legit concern...that's why I got rid of all P2 stuff. They just didn't produce enough per unit to justify it.
Likewise, being here in Phoenix, winter is major crunching time since the summers are so hot, and power at a premium.

BTW...D2OL only lost the stats server's data, not the work units or any science. They lost power and got corrupted data, which has been happening now and then. But, this time the backup was also corrupted, and that's why a reset of data. Remember the stats server is really just our competitive side of this thing, and not the real purpose of the work. Likewise, the stats server is not a necessary (highly funded) piece of equipment.

Well, here, winter is the major crunch time for cash. Not only did the power bill go up from $90 to $120, heating oil costs are through the roof. I can either crunch numbers, or stay warm. Call me selfish, but I'd rather not have my pee freeze on the way to the toilet.

Yeah, I can offset my heating bill by the heat that my overclocked systems put out. I have to run my comps in the cellar (basement to you merkins) and let the heat rise up.

There was a bous to the stats server craping out, our team shot up through the ranks!

were now number 6 !!

and weaz is curently the number one user on the project. heh!

I hope the stats stay dead, if we can hold our position were we are, we have a chance to take on some of the higher teams (maybe.....). I know I'm happy, I just made position 58 on the stats.

Kinda cheating i know, but what the hell, all the teams are now on a level playing field. time to let loose the overclocked dogs of war! >

2o is correct in that the actual work was not lost but just the stats. And boy was I surprized when I logged on this morning to find myself in the #1 position. I wonder how long that will last.

This is a fresh start for everyone and we need to treat it as such. Everyone is on a level playing field now and all that matters is the science. Also after doing some reading up over at D2OL, Adam will be looking into the cheating situation and correcting the code to remedy that issue. So with the assurance from the powers that be at D2OL, I am 100% behind this project.

Yes, New Year...New Admin...fresh stats. Maybe a renewed vigor for the project, if they can put the correct spin on things. Of course, this puts us on the ground level of the project. An option we didn't have before.

ALSO...now is the time to clean up your nodes

Really though, with the reset, if you have any unused nodes that you no longer can use, (due to loss of node.prp file) maintain your account and delete them.

Any ex-members who are at zero, (ie. 2y2c, who BTW is 15 today) and do not plan to crunch you can un-join and that will clean up the stats some.
WeaZ...Is there any way you know of for a team captain (polarpyro) to clean up old members? Or alternately, one of us could reform the TN team under a slightly different name, and we could all go there?
