Okay....since mouth child...aka blonde terrorist put this in Prolly the wrong place....Here's what we were discussing last evening after the other thread said " TN BBQ."
Well, of course it would be impractical if not nearly impossible. But wouldn't it be cool. So...to increase the possibility....IF there was like the "left coast, right coast" party why not a midwest and a UK party? AND...why not at the same time (within reason)....Wouldn't it be soooo coool...digicams, laptops and wireless connections...small regional groups of puter dorks all hammerin the forum while BBQ'n

Then...everybody can be involved even if you are too far away from a "gathering" or just cannot attend because of work.

Well anyway...any time you would put more than say... 2 TN'ers in one locale, you'd prolly have a busy LAN.

We could actually pull this off. Have webcams set up at every location all live fed into a host site. Or maybe a personal server. Sound hook-ups could be as simple as just having a microphone set up near the webcam. Maybe even two per site. One to chill by "main eating area" you could watch each other pig out and show the lack of table manners most of have. the other could be focused on the activities going on. (People throwing a frizbe and/footbal or somethign. Over throwing and taking out the webcam. Maybe crashing into the food table.) Or maybe everyone at their own computers with a webcam on every comp. We all just chill with a setup where we could all see and hear each other and just BS for a little while. Could work. But everyone would need a webcam and mic and a standard time to set this up. Maybe if we just hired a prvate helicopter pilot to just fly around the world picking everyone up and dropping them off on a deserted island for liek three hours and then taking everyone home. Ok... I need to get out more. This office is doing something unatural to my mind.

Do you seriously belive that you could get more that 3 Tweakers in 1 building with computers and games, and NOT turn it into a lan party? come on!!!

here's my idea:we have 3 parties simultainiously, (west, east, mid-west, uk) with webcams and mic's and chit, and we all have an Internet-lan-party-thing. of course the west one would be in AZ, so [KOG]^badGer doesn't have to go too far from home, the mid-west in IL, The east in Either NJ or SC, and the UK one in the UK. this should takeplace on the 28th of Februrary, 2005. that way it could be the th anniversary of [TN]. Or it could be on the 28th of november, 2004 to be the 5and3/4 aniversary of [TN].

The "chill at the comp" idea would work best in the UK, there is NO chance of a BBQ (out doors at least) in the UK at any other month than June / July. It's just too damn cold and wet.

Maybe a "drink & tweak-a-thon" might work out better? Though the concept of drinking and using web cams is a bit dodgey (god knows what people would use 'em for)

It's a cool idea to do a live link up though.
Maybe we could meet up in a "virtual" BBQ, if someone were to make a BBQ map for BF1942 we could chase each other with guns, steal planes and tanks and my be do some stunts ( I love base jumping in BF)

Yeah, i'm only a few hours from JW too. Maybe we could cut it up into several smaller BBQ's. Eight or so? Webcams and mics and food and beverage and gaming. That would be a good time.
