Linux on XBOX

I was thinking of doing a softmod on my XBox and installind linux. Anyone done this or advice on doing it?

*thought this should go here since it involves Linux, can move if necesary*

I know there are many OS' out there for Xbox. Try a google search, I will contact my friend who does this for a living, He also said something about a chip, and aquiring a Bigger Hard disk to take advantage of the OS. Ill let you know what I turn up.

I know about the mod-chips... I was looking to just do a softmod, without opening it up and changing the configuration.
