Very nice review but I've got a couple questions.
Do you know of any major differences between this new combo and the somewhat older, combo that comes with the MX900 (I think)? I know the older combo is still Bluetooth, but it might not be 2.0.
Also could you go a little more indepth on the media pad, like what all it can display or just be used for.
Thanks _________________ Love Is Not Enough... |

The mediapad acts as a remote control for the default media player. You set that up in the setpoint software. The buttons are pretty self-explanatory. The display shows media info (title, artist etc if it's available in the file that's playing) and will also display the time. It will alert you to the arrival of e-mail or IM's. The MP also has a calculator function and, of course, numerical input function.
The major difference from the earlier diNovo is the mouse and support for more devices with easier and more reliable connectivity. |

Ok thanks for a going a little more in-depth about it. I won't be using more devices so that shouldn't be a problem for me. I can't wait for it to get here. _________________ Love Is Not Enough... |

I think you'll like it a lot. I did. I really like the "feel" of the keys and it didn't show any of the minor annoyances I experienced with the MX5000, but I think those were fixed with the recent software update as well. Don't forget to enable the auto update feature, Logitech is very good about updates.
Good luck with it and let us know how you like it. |

That was a good review. I'd really like to have the unit, but I have this problem of spilling coffee on my keyboard a couple of times a year, so I have to stick to the $10 keyboards Ya I know, it's a personal problem |

Man, I've only used this keyboard for 5 minutes and I'm already in love with it _________________ Love Is Not Enough... |

Few more questions
What sort of battery life have you gotten out of yours and is there a way to get other IM to work with the pad besides MSN? I've been looking but haven't found it. Maybe I'm overlooking it. _________________ Love Is Not Enough... |

| I assuming you're talking about the keyboard and MP, since we have different mice. I would expect to change the batteries maybe twice a year, at most. The MX1000 mouse I have will go in excess of a week of normal use without charging. |

| Sorry for the repost, but I don't know whether other IM's will work, I only use MSN. |
