Modding Antec drive bay and other thoughts

Hiya all,

I'm in the process of upgrading my PC and this time I'm going to go all the way. My first big purchase of course, is going to be the case.

I'm leaning towards the good ol' Antec Plus 1080 but I'm concerned about the fact that it is not very deep (once I stick my mobo, leads and two hdd in there it’s gonna get pretty tight.) And from the pics I’ve seen around, the hdd’s seem to stick out quite close the AGP card.

Soooo, I was wondering if anyone out there has had any luck rotating the lower 3.5” drive bay 90 degrees, similar to how the new Thermaltake Xaser III’s are fashioned. I figure this will make access to the hdd’s easier when it comes to swapping stuff around (which I do regularly.) Any thoughts? Is it even worth the trouble?

In the end I might just get a Xaser III mainly because of the internal room (I might get a dual processor one day), but I really have no use for the extras it comes with, such as the Hardcano and I do prefer the look of the Antec’s. I was just wondering what peoples thought are regarding Thermaltake Vs Antec cases. What would you recommend?
