Hey guys, got a problem let me explain:
I came home from school turned the computer on to listen to some tunes, and then shut it down. Came back two hours later and tried to turn it on and there is no POST boot, screen is black and there is no beeps.
Let me state I am a technician I have done quite possibly everything and anything possible. I have removed all the hardware and reentered it into the sockets. I have tried starting the computer with as little parts as possible such as the PSU, 1 mem stick, Video Card, and CPU.
It's not the Video Card cause i put it inside another computer and it works.
Ive even tried starting it without the Video Card installed and still there is no beep. (yes the speaker is connected properly).
One more thing i might add is the fact that the HDD light is steady, before when it was connected to the mobo and after I disconnected it.
I believe it's either the PSU or the MOBO. Which seems the more likely? _________________ In a dark time, the eye begins to see...--- Theodore Roethke

Try a different CPU or test the one in there in another machine, if the cpu works then the mobo has gone awol Also clear cmos.
Try a different PSU then;
Sometimes when there is an unresponsive mobo its because of bent pins on the CPU, check for that (unlikely based on what you describe but worth a look.)
Try boot without the ram installed (should give you slow steady beeps) if no beeps then there is a good chance the mobo is dead. _________________ Phenom II x4 955 @ Stock

I would first try with out the ram then try another psu. If neither of these show any signs of improvement the next step is cpu. And if that shows nothing then you know it's your motherboard.
good luck and good to see you back around the forums. It's been a long time. _________________ I tweaked and it tweaked back! So I Tweaked some more!

Thanx i know ive been away a while, I've tried that so far i guess my next step is trying out the PSU and see how that works, although i tried my PSU on another computer and it did not work correctly...this could be the source of our problem here! _________________ In a dark time, the eye begins to see...--- Theodore Roethke

well that also depends on the power consupmtion and config of the other machine too.....you never know.....
i think it would be safer to try another PSU on YOUR machine..... _________________
