I bought one a few days ago. Nice, except for a couple of issues:

- The mouse cursor is exceeding erratic (completely unusable - all over the screen, or not moving at all) if used on tabletop (slightly glossy), a mouse pad (dark grey) or anything light. It works OK, though slightly jittery, on a dark matte book. I must get a black, smooth surface - I suspect that'll work OK.

- There's interference making the mouse and keyboard unusable if the Bluetooth adapter is plugged directly into the PC. It works OK on a USB extension cable a metre away from the PC.

I really hope new software fixes those issues...

The mouse I have works quite well, it's the keyboard I have a problem with. Have you installed the setpoint software to take advantage of the auto-update feature?

Yep, I got the latest Setpoint (2.46), since 2.44 was significantly worse. Very odd.

There is a forum area at the Logitech website. I'd look around in there, and post up your problem. I know that the forum is monitored by Logitech tech support.

If it's any help, people who had the pointer problems with the regular MX1000 traced it to a bad reciever, which Logitech replaced for free. That might be your issue right there.

Bluetooth can also have problems if the reciever is too close to the PSU on your computer. Since you say it works fine on a USB extension, I would guess RFI/EFI is your problem.

The fix update has been posted yesterday on Logitech's site.

Also the software should auto update.
