big problem... i think my vid card's fan is dying. it been getting this really loud hum/whirl for awhile now. tapping the fan a bit helped at first. then i tried to re-lubricate it with some machine oil. that stopped it, but started again a few days later. i've tried lubing the thing 3 times now and it hasnt gone away. it's even gotten to the point where i've gone to the computer in the morning to find that the fan's blades are no longer a whirl... you can see the blades moving its going so slow
so... what're my options? are there any other tips/tricks that could fix this? or will i have to just replace the hsf? _________________ Asus P5W DH (bios 1407)

Replace the fan. You have a standard Arctic Cooling ATI Silencer 5. Get one of those as a direct replacement. _________________ Big enough to scare you
