So it turns out that to use Adobe's Premiere Elements you need a processor that supports SSE2. What?! As you can see from my sig below my CPU doesn't support SSE2. Is there any way around this? I can't justify buying a brand new machine just for this software (although that would be fun...). I don't think there is, but if anyone knows how...I'm all ears.

Thanks

Unfortunately, no......there's no workaround for it. It requires an Athlon 64 or Opteron to run.

If you have the whole retail package, you can run Photoshop Elements, that part doesn't require SSE2 to run. Unfortunately, that's one of the spots where AMD fell down a few years back, not implementing SSE2 into the Athlon XP procs.
