So you want to run the sound from your computer and the sound from your mixer through the Z5500s?
The best way is to hook up the 5500s to your pc and then hook up the mixer to you soundcards line in jack. You will most likely need to get a new soundcard as I don't think your machine can handle the 5500s and a line in. If I am not mistaken the soundcard has 3 jacks "mic" "phones" "line" which double as "front" "rear" "center". You will need a decent 6.1/7.1 soundcard with 5 jacks to set it all up. _________________ Phenom II x4 955 @ Stock

hey guys thanks! and sorry about posting in the wrong section lol
um, my dell says it has 6.1 on board sound,
also, if i was to run my decks through my pc would it affect sound quality? and also how would i do it? sorry i know it sounds silly but im totally lost?
from my decks to my mixer then to my pc, then the line out to the z5500's?
and use the 'normal' input from the z5500's to my pc to rum normal sound from my pc, games and dvds ect..??/
thanks for your help guys!
does this also mean i dont need a switch box?? |

also sorry, but if its not the case with my pc that it doesnt have the 6.1 sound like it says it does, i have to run out to work in 10 min otherwise id grab my dell invoice and tell you the spec.
but in the event i need to purchase a sound card, something cheap that will do the job you'd suggest? |

no you WANT stereo.
Dual Male RCA jacks, to stereo 1/8" mini plug male. Thats the wire you'll need
It will not affect sound quality. Just plug the master out of your mixer into the line in on your sound card. _________________
