gah!
she's all put together (i'd post a pic, but i don't have a digital camera yet... soon though).

started with my two new lian li 80mm blue led fans, and got them into the case (case now has 6 x 80mm fans). then got the vantec aeroflow onto the 2.4c with the AC3, which was on the soyo P4I875P dragon 2 (platinum edition). got it all into the lian li pc-75, along with the AIT AIW 9700 pro. hooked up the hdd's (2 x 13.5 gigs... 'borrowed' from the office till i get my 200giger). i'd spray painted a 'borrowed' 52x LG cd-rom... the grey is too dark for my liking though. i'll have to find a lighter grey or silver spray. otherwise looks kickass. hooked up all the fans cable extensions and the thermal sensors (8 of em) on my digdoc fan controller and placed all the cables, taping down the sensors in their permanent locations. i'll have to get some rounded cables and some silver loom, but even as is, i'm very proud of my cable management... very nice. i didn't hook up the Matrix Orbital MX222, although it is in the top 5.25 bay. i don't want to run the usb cable out of the case and into a port on the back pannel. i'm going to pick up a usb pci card that has an internal usb port. it'll look better.

so, once i get the memory, i can actually use the system. then it's the DVD burner, the 200 gig hdd, the rounded cables and loom, the ccfl lights, a possible rheobus to control the lights, and other odds and ends.

update.

here are some pics.
you can see how the grey spray paint i used on the cd-rom bezel is too dark. going to have to get something else.

you can also see me in the glass reflection in pic3.

:)

the spot between the fan controller and the cd-rom is reserved for the dvd burner. still waiting for ivo to receive the silver floppy that i ordered.

i removed the puny fan controller that comes stock on the case cause i don't need it with my cables unlimited fan controller. and over the hole, i placed the Dragon case badge. it's actually quite nice and fits with the theme.

got the ram on friday, and was only able to install it on sunday afternoon... and even then, i didn't have much time to fool around with the system. slapped the os on there, and the video software (catalyst), and that's it. with the kids running around, the puppies, the work to be done outside, and the mess that is my computer desk... well, suffice it to say i'm thinking of taking a sick day just so i can work on this.
