Well my very first question is; what can I plug into the aud/vid IN the back of the All-In-Wonder 9800 Pro ?

It looks to be the same hook-up (the adapter that plugs into the aud/vid in) that you would use for ps2/xbox/gamecube/etc. Just wondering because I would like to hook up my console so I can move it off the TV it is on and move the TV out crowded enough in my Computer/Game room. If the answer is yes to the above I am seriously considering purchasing the All-in-Wonder 9800 Pro 128 AGP, for the obvious reasons above.

Ok now for the comparison question. Is the AIW 9800 Pro 128 at a disadvantage, similar, or at an advantage over the less feature rich 9800 Pro 128?? There isn't much of a price difference over at newegg.com only $48 between the two cards, except at the moment the AIW 9800 Pro 128 is out of stock and the 9800 Pro 128 is in stock.. makes no difference to me now since I am not ready to purchase anyhow.

I can just see the price of my future rig closing in on the $3000 mark, that is if there aren't many major price drops or sales by the time I go to purchase. Trying to keep my head and make smart but effective purchases.

When I bought my current computer it was about 3 months until it was passed by and I was stuck playing games with frame rates of 17 max! Even with a purchase of a Power Color/ati 9000 PCI [replacing my TNT2 M64]{yup thats right no agp on this mofo mobo} was I able to play games like Counterstrike at 27-35FPS average when action was occuring (still 13 on the or lower on the crop of IceWorld style maps[not original iceworld though that is still 20FPS ] ) a few months ago.

I was uniformed, naive, and willing to hand over around $1200 to the Best Buy clerk for a HP 8650C Celeron 535mhz onboard sound/graphics not much else, back in early 2000. Hopefully this purchase bears more fruit, the kind that splatters that terrorists head into one million pieces in SOF 2 in brilliant detailed GORE (even though SOF isn't to graphically impressive, I just wanted to say splatter.. terrorist.. and head in the same setence ).

Forgive my writing/typing style alot of quotations I just try to put some order into my thoughts and try to seperate my dribble-drabble as to feed what I am trying to ask/tell you with a spork.

Thanks for any replies in advance I more and likely won't be able to reply to this until next monday have to get on the road, and head up to my grandmother's 80th birthday on her third husband and still kicking (literally she goes dancing with him many times a week ). If only I could be that energetic at that age, hell I want that kind of energy at my age.

Edit: URL Fixed and thanks for the info...newegg has the AIW back instock now lol, oh well hopefully they are in stock and a little lower in price when I go to purchase everything.

your link isn't working btw. i checked it out on newegg anyway, and it's the same as the 9700 AIW. the top one (in this case, the purple one) is the input, and the middle s-video port is the output. the purple one hooks up to the purple connector box in one of those pictures, which allows you quick easy access to plug things into (camera, vcr/dvd, etc...). i'm assuming the console can be hooked up although i haven't tried.

^ same as the 9800, but the 9800 color coded the input purple.

as for which you should get... if you've got the cash, there is no question, get the AIW.

I didn't notice the Installation tips section at the ATI site thanks for pointing out a pic, I am still trying to get used to their new web design The adapter is S video in. Composite in. left and right RCA in. I wonder if I bought a composite or s-video adapter for my console if it would plug-in and work, hmm..

Yes, you can patch your console into the monitor using the AIW's input block.

The AIW 9800pro is practically identical to the 9700pro other than it has a faster core VPU.

I just received my review sample and I will be posting the review within a week.
