I have installed my graphics card ATI AIW 9800 successfully, but am having a few problems with the media center. The TV tuner works fine, but I am not sure if it records properly because I can't find the file. Also, the library program will not initialize. Does anyone have some suggestions on what I should do? Thanks for any response.

i Have the same card. My first suggestion would be to update your drivers to the current. The library will show you where your files are and you can open them from there, but I need more information about the library. When you click it, does a small screen appear in the upper left had corner? Does it show the initialization screen?

Sickofsoyo,
Thanks for the welcome. When I click on the library tab a message comes up that the program has failed to initialize. I have checked the setup and can't find any abnormal settings. I just completed uninstalling/removing all ATI components and will download from the website the programs. I have previously downloaded from the cd and website, but problems remain. Maybe my mobo is too unstable for the card. Question, should I download the file for "Radeon" or "All in Wonder" (which I previously downloaded from)? Any help is greatly appreciated. I love the tuner feature and recording from TV. I am trying to get this thing setup so I can record the new "Survivor" series starting on 9/15. Again, thanks.

you should only use the AIW drivers. If oyu don't you wont have the support for the other devices. I never had this problem with my computer. Maybe try the last set of drivers and programs. Can you give me the exact words of the message? I will then try to find an answer for you. I am not sure about it as of now. I will investigate for you.

try this...

http://www2.ati.com/drivers/mmc90_Release_Notes.html

go there and follow the instructions under download. Make sure to uninstall your old multimadia center first.

https://support.ati.com/ics/support/default.asp?deptID=894&task=knowledge&folderID=27

There are the updates for the multimaedia center
