Hi all, apologies I'm a total noob on this audio front.
I currently have a Audigy 2ZS. My speakers are the Logitech 5500. OK, everything anolgue is fine ie EAX stuff for games etc etc and I know games don't use the Dolby processing at all. Now I'm keen on movies so obviously want to get the digital thing on the go for this. So I have bought a Coaxial Digital audio cable http://www.maplin.co.uk/Search.aspx?criteria=l47aj&doy=18m9&source=15. I believe this needs to be plugged into the console part of the Logitech speakers and then connected to my soundcard using inline adapter which takes the RDA cable into a 3.5mm jack which can then go into the soundcard .
Is this correct? Two problems I cannot locate this inline adapter in the UK anywhere and wonder if this might be what i'm looking for.

Or would it be easier to ditch the Aud 2 and go for the X FI or the X-Mystique 7.1 Gold which seems to be getting a good write up in other threads i've looked at but seems hard to source at the mo.
Any help appreciated from any audiophiles here .

Cheers

You can order the adapter directly from Logitech, or any local electronics store should have one. It's simply a mono 1/8" to mono RCA adapter, nothing fancier than that.

(3.5mm for you Brits.......... )
