| i would like to know what yall think would be more effective in running games windows 98 or windows XP? |

| windows xp because its got the latest and greatest dirext x drivers able to be installed without a hitch. |

XP....98 is no longer supported, for the most part. Some newer software does not even support it. That will be the way more and more. Therefore, there will be a time when you can't play a game you want to on 98. _________________ .

XP. No question.
Along with what they said, most new games require DX9, which is not supported under Win98.
Plus, Microsoft themselves don't support 98 anymore........that oughta tell ya.

| rgr that... windows 2000(mentioned2k cuz its cheapa) is also a great choice including xp. 98 is too '98 :) |
