So I baught the MP3-Player and had seen the review about it here
http://www.tweaknews.net/reviews/yh820/
I did a stupid thing by running the firmware-upgrade to MTP mode. Now you can drag-and-drop files to the player but you can't use the software anymore. Great untill I discover that you can't create any albums like that. He puts all the files after each other. The only way by getting albums is using Windows Media Player 10 and copy music files that have a complete filled in file with Title, artist & album. A lot of work...
Anybody that know how to get albums in the player by just using the drag-and-drop method? Just copying the folders isn't enough. |

If you want perfectly placed albums, you have to supply the information.
No way around it.
I personally don't use albums, I like loading things up as a mix so I am constantly getting something different for the next song. _________________ Owner & Administrator

Thanks for the reply
Ok, I can live with that for full cd's.
I was just thinking what if you have like 1000 songs you want to put in a folder called "hits 2005" or something. How can you then find them back on the player in 1 select. is that possible please? My impression is that he only groups songs together that are from an album/artist when he reads the ID3-tag |

Right. There's no way for any player to do what you want, unless you change the ID3 tag to do it........by renaming the album. _________________ Big enough to scare you |

Hey guys I know this is slightly off-topic but I have a quick question for those who have the YH820:
how do you find the battery life? I've read everywhere that most people are getting ~8 hours of play time out of theirs. I'm finding that my battery doesn't last anywhere near that long. Even with a flat EQ, I haven't gotten any more than 5.5 or 6 hours max.
If I use the Bass boost (or whatever it's called), the battery is done in less than 4 hours for sure.
If anyone has any answers or insights regarding this battery issue, please let me know. Thanks in advance! |

yeah i switched it to 3 sec backlight, and i turned on the 15 second power saver mode as well.
seems to make a bit of a difference, but the battery went from half to completely empty in a 15 min. time span despite decreasing the backlight time and with power saver on. |

It could be, it requires more power to push lower frequencies to the headphones. _________________ Owner & Administrator
