Hey guys, i'm in the market for a new laptop and i noticed AMD has new mobile chip out - the Turion. What's the difference between the Athlon 64 and the Turion 64? Which one is more powerful and more worth the money when it comes to laptops? _________________ DFI Nforce 4 SLI-DR

depends on what you are going to use the laptop for? Are you looking for thin and light or a desktop replacement? The turion is for the same market as the Pentium-M is for, the thin and light laptops with extended battery life. The A64 is going to be more of a desktop replacement laptop, more power but consumes more battery. _________________ I tweaked and it tweaked back! So I Tweaked some more!

Not to mention heat. The Athalon 64 runs much hotter than the Turion (lower voltage), so keep that in mind if it's actually gonna be on your lap. _________________ Big enough to scare you
