I would have never recommended someone to buy this laptop, but (with the exception of a driver glitch) it is really pretty slick, and works pretty well. Of course they (compaq) won't let me tweak the hardware.
I'm trying to remember to run this on different machines I load, just as a quick reference. It's a nice little (non-invasive) quick benchie, too. _________________ .

Okay, this one has got to take the cake...or pi.
I built a machine out of old stuff to use as a bandwidth controller....a packet scheduler, so to speak. NEway...the fun never ends....this is a P166 classic chip, non-mmx, the early socket7 stuff. As you see it mis-reports it as socket 5. AND...i got the old girl stable with the multiplier at 3 It would also run with a multi of 2.5 and a fsb of 75.
We've come a long way.
So there you go 13 minutes 46 seconds....
if it got any slower we'd need a calender. _________________ .

I see my odd sense of humor isn't totally wasted here.
It took me the good part of a day just to load the darn thing...I could walk to the other side of the building, take a leak, get coffee, and check my email, and it would almost be re-booted.
It does make one appreciate the newer processors. _________________ .

well done PhRoZ!
I wonder if you can tighten the timings any and drop the time a little. But I guess that depends on how much time you have for tweaking.
I need to do some SuperPi runs on my DC but that would mean I would have to stop D2OL production for that time. HHHMMM maybe my next day off I will do some tweaking and post some scores. _________________ I tweaked and it tweaked back! So I Tweaked some more!

| Thanks weaz. I am new to the "Ram" tweaking scene. All my spd timings are messed up. So i had to tweak them ALL ( not a single one stayed the same), even the ones i have no idea about. I think they were programmed wrong, but what i have now is rock stable at 250. Just wish i knew a little more about the other timings. |

Okay gentlemen and ladies....My new compy first tweakadge....still on air (another story) ....notice those ddr2 timings...wait till I get my water.
Also it seems cpu-z had a bit-o-trouble with the overall speed reporting...that's 4 gig.
And for the game types here's a '05 score.
Guess I'll change my siggie, when I get it off the bench and onto my desk....I think I want my water first, though. _________________ .

There ya go....32.359s that's at 4085 by calculation.
That's all I'm going to do for now....I WANT MY WATER...it's still air conditioner time here in Phoenix....like 99F yesterday.
To answer your question TH....that's the throttleback....the multi went from 19 to 14 cause it wasn't doing anything. I'm still learning this mobo, there's some neat looking settings to play with as I get more comfy with it. _________________ .

There you go weaZ 30.781s...that's it for now.
Maybe when the ambients come down and/or I get a bit cockier I can squeeze a smidge more out of it.
She's still new to me...and I'd like to use it a little before I assasinate her. _________________ .
