Hey ho everyone. I have a PSC724 Ultimate Edge sound card on a P4 2.0GH processor, 9600 All-In-Wonder graphics card, and 726MBRAM. I have a problem with my sound that I have this odd cracking sound coming through my speakers. Not only that, but when I plug in my sound board and try to record my guitar, it comes through on the recording as well. And the same thing happens when I record through my mic as well. Has anyone here had that problem? I sure would appreceate any help I can dget. Thanks, later.

Ok, some "narrow it down" questions.

What software are you using, for both recording and playback?

When you hear the noise on your guitar and vocal, is that during playback, or during recording?

Do you have direct-monitoring available, so you can narrow down that it's not the input signal that's causing the problem?

Have you tried both headhones and speakers, to eliminate the speakers from the equasion?
