i have some question about this board and memory

im thinking about adding more ram but heres what the site has about their memory

Memory
Three 184-pin DDR SDRAM DIMM sockets
Supports single channel (64-bit wide) memory interface
Supports up to 3GB memory when using DDR333
Supports up to 2GB memory when using DDR400
Supports PC2700 (DDR333) and PC3200 (DDR400)
DDR SDRAM DIMM
Supports x8/x16, non-ECC, up to 512Mb DDR devices
Supports unbuffered DIMM

and

Why DDR RAM lower its frequency speed?

Answer: There is an integrated memory controller in AMD 64-bit series CPU, supporting PC3200, PC2700, PC2100, or PC1600 DDR SDRAM. This type of CPU will catch the data transmission from DDR RAM directly without passing through Northbridge. If insert two sticks of double rank(x8 or x16) PC3200 or higher DDR SDRAM, the DDR SDRAM will lower its frequency speed as DDR333. If insert three sticks of double rank(x8 or x16) PC3200 or higher DDR SDRAM, the frequency speed will be detected as DDR200. This symptom is normal, and AMD has already confirmed.

So my question is that can i buy 1 more stick of 1GB ram so that would total 2GB when im already using 2x512MB Kingston Hyper X model KHX3200AK2/1G......because it said "up to 512Mb DDR devices"

the other question is that on the second paragraph about lowering the frequency speed even though if i add i more it will lowers it to DDR200 so will the ram perform slower or its just a display problem?

yeah try not to mix the sizes of ram. Even if you were to buy Hyper X 1gig stick it may lead to some minor problems. although on an old system I was running a 256mb stick with 2 32mmb sticks and it ran great.
