This poll is for anyone who has USED the processors mentioned. Not someone who has an intel and say amd is better or vice versa. What do you guys think is better for overclocking and dependability? An Intel P4 HT or an AMD athlon. I would like to know before I go on to my second PC build. _________________ P4 3.2ghz

it will be history but as of right now they are still a good proc. And if I wanted to build a system to overclock with right now I would choose a DFI Socket-T motherboard with the 875 chipset for a P4. _________________ I tweaked and it tweaked back! So I Tweaked some more!

I like [KoG]^weaZel’s first answer. And I like his second answer but I would also like taking a DFI Lanparty NF4 and a Venice or San Diego core and seeing what happens.

Agreed, either can OC great. It's not just the proc, after all, it's all the other factors as well. Goo OC'ing proc + lousy RAM = bad OC.

I know that. I usually buy PDP systems Patriot ram. They are a generally new company, but the ram is stable and runs perfectly. They also have a lifetime warranty! _________________ P4 3.2ghz
