im using an intergrated amp and stereo speakers instead of powered speakers. |

Can I ask why you're looking at recording gear? Just curious........the audio output of the Audiophile 192 isn't any better than the output of the Revolution 7.1........and the software used in the recording cards isn't necessarily designed for everyday use. You certainly CAN, of course, but I really think it's a bit of overkill.
I wouldn't get the Delta 44, for a couple of reasons. It's stereo only, no digital/SPDIF passthrough for surround encoded material.........it's not a good choice for everyday desktop usage. It's meant to be used in-line with another soundcard for actual playback.
Of the two Audiophile cards, I would probably suggest the 192, but you're again limiting yourself, and spending alot more than you need to.
I would just get the Revolution 7.1. It uses the same audio chips for playback as the 192, has a digital output to run to your stereo reciever (if it has one), and it's designed for a home user. Plus, it's $80 cheaper. _________________ Big enough to scare you |

lol sorry fussnfeathers i forgot about it.....i thought the audiophile would have better output hardware than the revolution but i didnt know until now....i remember that you said the delta were the higher end of their sound card so thats what i thought.....of course ill get the revolution if its same quality output....well im only using two channel also so thats why i thought the revolution werent going to be very good because theyre made for 5.1 and 7.1 surround
so can you confirm that the 7.1 are better than the 5.1 revo also? and that all the card output are the same...thanks fuss |

| what i like about the Audiophile 2496 is that i can just use interconnect like my cd player thats also connected to the computer speakers. so does interconnects sounds better than the Y splitter stereo cable or they're about the same? |

The Delta 1010 I mentioned is a little bit different from the 410.......
The difference between the 7.1 and the 5.1 is exactly the same as the difference between the 192 and 2496.......higher quality output chips. Revolution 7.1 and 192 use the same high quality chips, the 5.1 and 2496 use the same "regular quality" chips.
What type of amp are you using? I was assuming home stereo-type, which would probably have a digital input. _________________ Big enough to scare you |
