my counterstrike source is broked

Well ive been having this problem for a very long time (i thought maybe a recent cs update would fix it)

but ever since maybe 2 months ago my counterstrike has been messed up.

When i get flashed Instead of getting flashed normally this is all I get:

Ive formatted and reinstalled and still get the same results, my friend also claims to have this problem wtf is going on? could my cds be bad?

Valve is just pissing me off lately. They can't seem to support and fix their current problems. They just keep trying to add in new models and maps and hope people will overlook the many glitches of the game. I've never seen that before but a couple months ago I got a glitch that spammed the console with a SoundList Full error. My performance dropped drastically and I thought a new update would fix it. About 10 updates later and nothing.

I give up on CS:S.

Counter-Strike 1.6 is the king go back to it and stay away from CS:S.

FTR...that was really helpful

He PAID for that software, I think he would want to PLAY it.

you could uninstall it, and get all your files from steam, (test out that new broadband thing), that way at least you would know if it was your discs.
i know it would take forever, but hey......

well i just dled c srouce and its still all messed up so what could be doing this? i have the latest ati drivers

im very puzzled. Do you and your friend have the same graphics card? Maybe try using older/newer drivers than what you have.

Only other thing i can suggest is submit it as a bug to steam via the in game bug submitter

Appearently cs was gay and didn't install dx 9.0c so i upgraded, and now all fixored
