Hi i was looking some advice, recently my sound has stopped working completely....
Even my "sticky keys" makes a kind of kink, rather than a beep which im used to.
Ive tried diff speakers and no luck with that, it stopped working all of a sudden in the same boot, ie i was playing music, stopped it and then a few hrs later wouldnt play and i didnt reboot.
Worst case senareo its the jack plug but i was wondering ne possible solutions?

How about some system specs? Like......what kind of soundcard, what OS, what programs are you using for sound, speakers, that sortof thing. Can't really help you without that info.

Sorry man yeah i have onboard sound, asus k8n, but i manged to fix it by updating drivers....starnge that it happens all of a sudden though i didnt touch the old drivers.
Musta been viruses or something?

i have had a virus called aurora ---> nail.exe maybe uve had it too, and i have been deleting associated files of that program so maybe something was lost then  , i think ive just about got rid of it now but damn it was a rite wee annoying b!tch!
