In ms dos i typed in netstat and netstat -a (i dont know the difference) but there seems to be (without counting) over 100 conections! wtf?
I am on a network and and surfing the net. There is alot of random ip addresses but others such as
amarseille-***-1-**.w81-251.abo.wanadoo.fr
ntwklan-**-***-244_30.devs.futuro.pl:3733
rs1-a95.Chelyabinsk.dial.rol.ru:1238 TIME_WAIT
(*** represent numbers)
and the list goes on....
The question is, am i at any threat? is this normal? _________________ AMD64 3200+

It's normal. Netstat shows all the hops in your IP connection, and every single ping your machine is getting at the time. If you have 50 hops from your house to your ISP, then another 20 from the ISP to the backbone server, they'll all show up.
As long as you're running a good set of spyware/adware/antivirus utilites, you're fine. _________________ Big enough to scare you
