I seen once on pimp my ride (lol i know sounds dumb) , but they hooked up a girl with an mp3 player but it was a head unit. She had a touch screen LCD and it was like she had a big playlist. She then had the harddrive in her trunk. Anyone know something similar to this?

I have seen something similiar, by D-link, that combines your PC based music, Home Stereo, and Car Stereo with wireless media.

I know radioshack isn't the best prices, but you can see what I'm talking about)

There's a couple of them. Kenwood makes the MusicKeg line, with a removable hard drive "cartridge" in either 20gb or 10gb sizes. I believe Alpine also has something similar, as does Blaupunkt.........or at least they did. These were more popular before CD players started playing MP3/WMA files, and they're still expensive.

I think I saw the episode you're talking about (in between cooking shows ) and I think they used the Kenwood, along with one of the Excelsion line touch-screen video recievers.
