If you make HD clones in your backup scheme, you'll want to know about Western Digital's Data Lifeguard Tools for Windows.
I'd been using the DOS version for several years and decided to try the Windows version. Windows version is slick and *much* faster. (I have only about 5G worth of stuff on my workstation machine, including OS, but it clones in an astonishing 6 minutes.)
The software comes free with new WD drives but can be download free from WD site. Only requirement is that either the "Copy From" or "Copy To" drive be WD. |

I have a 200 WD HD. I tried transfering everything from my old 80Gig seagate to the WD. But some files got corrupt like the trash can and some other small files. So i had to install a fresh XP. Sence then no probs with the WD HD. I wonder what happened though. _________________ Asus M2N32-SLI Deluxe, AM2 4600 x2, 150GB Raptor Exteme, 7900GTX in SLI Corsair XMS DDR2 CAS3, Custom DD Water Cooling |
