Hey guys.. nice updates to the site first of all .
A friend of mine is having some trouble with bandwidth. Specifically ventrilo. He and 4 other people are hooked up to a router, which is in tern hooked to the DSL modem that they have. He says that, anytime someone broadcasts over Vent, their pings go way up. Now, I've asked him to clarify whether he is on a router or a hub, because I know a hub would be the primary source of the problem if indeed he was on one, but he assures me that he's on a router.
Anyone know of any hardware or software things that he could do to tweak or to limit bandwidth usage? Perhaps for programs only? Or does anyone know enough about vent that there are some tweaks with the program itself? _________________ 91K SIGNATURE IS NOT ALLOWED.

sounds like he is overloading his DSL. What speed of DSL is he running and are all four playing a game online and using vent? if that is the case the bandwidth of the dsl maybe topped out. For a situation like this I would recommend at least a 1 meg connect. _________________ I tweaked and it tweaked back! So I Tweaked some more!
