I was very surprised by the lack of response from A4Tech. I dont know, but it sure seems like a company WOULDN'T want bad reviews about its products on websites... meh, their loss I guess.

The mouse is now sitting in its box tucked away in the closet of no return.

Ya gotta call 'em like ya see 'em. If they wouldn't respond for a reviewer, where does that leave the customer?

Exactly, but now that the review is out I will probably receive an email from them.

Good review, disappointing results though. If ya ask me, Logitech has the mouse market on lock down. All the others are just extra options.

yes indeed....Logitech and Microsoft have a VERY solid hold on the market.

I still do not see the purpose of having a cordless mouse with a corded mousepad...seems to defeat the purpose.

I'm using this mouse about 2 weeks and can't say ANY SINGLE bad word about it.
I have other Chicony, Microsoft, Logitech and A4Tech mouses, but I prefer using NB30.
This mouse is comfortable, lightweight, stylish and works without any glitches.

that has got to be the complete reverse of my opinion of at least the one I recieved. I am kind of suspicious as to your first, and only post being directed one of the very few low rated reviews on TN.

I'm more concerned that there was no response from tech support, rather than the product not working.

EVERY manufacturer has a defective product slip by once in a while...What makes a product truly great, is a company that stands behind their products.

Very strange that big company isn't answering
Just found that this mouse is interferring electrical noise to display if placed closer than 20-25cm from it.
That's only con i found so far.

We can only comment on the product we had in hand.

I was very skeptical when my work bought back a dozen of these mice. I decided well since I have to sell them I'll give one a whirl.. Now I admit the pads too small and if you leave the mouse on the pad overnight both pad and mouse tend to be warm when you come back - Ive been sticking the mouse seperate on my desk just in case :)..

So far Ive actually been very impressed with the mouse. I turned the pad sideways to get a bit more room and boosted the mouse speed up slightly over my creative optical mouse but other than that its worked solidly for me for the last week. Ive played many an hour of Tribes Vengeance on it so far and its worked fine. Never missed a beat - Im guessing the set you have is just faulty.

Price wise we seem to be getting them a heap cheaper here than yous are. They sell for approx $35NZ and cost me around $25NZ (approx $17US). For the price I havent really found much that is better - I havent been compelled to swap back to my normal optical mouse as of yet. I would love a pad twice the size though!

The only negative (other than pad size) I can say about it is I dont like the scroll button too much, it tends to be a little on the large side for my liking - I accidently hit it fairly often..

Well than it must be the set we recieved was defective, then the opinions in the review could have easily been fixed by the company, but they decided that TN wasnt even worth a reply.

True,

And what if someone else gets a defective pad and this is how the warranty department treats then as well?

All in all, we can only judge what we have in hand.

moments later...

i just realized that that mouse is even more useless that a normal wired mouse... becuz u are abosolutely limited to the pad space.. where as with ur standard wired/wireless mouse u can use them on almost all surfaces

Try it :) you'll soon see the point! you move the mouse - so a cord on a moving mouse is a pain when it snags something or twists, etc. You don't, as a general rule, move the pad, so no cord snags, twists, etc.

The thing that took me the most to get used to is how smooth it moves over the pad - I'm used to feeling some drag, and this just slid beautifully.

Yup, microsoft & logitech might rule, but I like the A4 stuff, and I've never had any problem with my usual store replacing defective goods (of any brand). If I had read your review before I bought the NB-30 I might not have bought it, which would have been a pity.

Great product! please send your defective one back & get another so you can do a real review!

nice... first post... i guess... u wouldnt happen to work for them would u?? i would prefer to spend an extra 8 dollars a year for batteries for my wireless optical mouse then be confined to a pad and have the thing work some time... that was a real review BTW. if they are going to send Nathan a product that sucks and not respond when its screwed up he has to assume that they are all like that and i kinda assume that too. Why would u not test a product before sending it to a reviewer.
