Ok, i have a DFI LANParty II Pro875B MoBo with onboard C-Media AC97 audio. I just re-installed my entire system from scratch and had no audio. I updated to the newest drivers for the AC97, still no sound. I can't find any front/rear audio jumpers, all of my volume controls are set properly on Windows... any othe rideas as to what the heck could be wrong here??? _________________ "It's not whether or not you get knocked down,

Is onboard sound enabled in the BIOS? Does the sound"card" show up in Device Manager, and if it does, are there any conflicts? What kind of speakers/headphones are you using? Check the plugs to make sure they didn't get pulled out. _________________ Big enough to scare you |

(a) AC97 sound IS enabled in the BIOS.
(b) It DOES show up in device manager, and it does not indicate that there are any conflicts.
(c) I have Altec Lansing speakers (2 sats and a subwoofer), but just to eliminate speaker error I tried plugging in headphones - no dice. _________________ "It's not whether or not you get knocked down,

you need to have the jumpers set correctly for the rear audio jacks to be enabled
(taken from the .pdf on DFI's website _________________ Yeah....... ok |

I assumed you were talking rear panel jacks, so follow Hammy's post. You might have the jumper installed wrong. _________________ Big enough to scare you |

Also, if your using the front panel jacks on your case, eliminate them just to prove that it's not them. I've seen the shorting bar fail on them. _________________ .

Ok, so I changed the jumper to front audio and installed the FrontX panel, and the front panel works fine. I then took the FrontX out and changed the jumper back to exactly where they were before... my rear audio now works. Random. _________________ "It's not whether or not you get knocked down,
