|
|
| I currently have the Abit Siluro MX-8X, which has 64MB of memory. Is this more than enough for general windows use, such as web browsing, photo editing, etc? I only play games now and then and mainly bought this card for its DVI support and Nvidia's rock solid drivers. I know that more memory is always good, but am not sure if this is necessarily true for video memory. |

Video memory is really only needed with playing games such as Unreal etc...
The photo editing and windows use is dependent on your system ram on your motherboard.
How much system RAM do you have? _________________ Owner & Administrator

| Quote: | 256 is the base minimum I would use for XP.
512 is optimal. |
hehe...do not tell my parents that.
I loaded XP Pro on their laptop which has an AMD K6II-400 w/96MB of PC66......
it CAN run nicely if you take the time to remove the BLOAT from XP.
but for most installs, yeah, more is better. |
