Well thats it, today my car was announced officialy dead. After having some major transmission problems, and constant dieing on the highway. I took her to the doctor. Doctor said it would cost 1,500$ just to fix the transmission. Me not having any money, my mom said well thats way more then the car is prolly worth. So, we arent going to get it fixed. its official its dead. Very depressing for me, losing my 1988 Oldsmobile Royal Brougham. Loved that car
she had a good run, 17 years old, only 115,000 miles. |

Sorry to hear about that , Ryan. You can still jack a car at the car show. They won't notice if one concept car is missing (just don't get one of those radical new vehicles that uses hydrogen or the sun or llama's) _________________ JayDubya aka JW Jay JD ^> ﺵ |

Ahhhhhhh the pain.
I felt that when I had to let go of my '67 'Stang, she was just taking too much money I needed for other things.
Another love will come along, for sure, but you'll never forget that first ride. _________________ Big enough to scare you |

Buy a used transmission from the junk yard and slap it in.
Foolish to consider one way to fix it. _________________ Owner & Administrator

When the engine is cold, remove the rad cap or check in the overflow bottle for brown sludge.
Thos 1998 Malibus are prine to major intake gasket failure. _________________ Owner & Administrator

I definately know the loss of a loved car, I once owned a 1984 Camaro.. beautiful baby it was, loved it to death.. and then it happened, an obeise woman decided to rear end me, I was at a dead stop.. she hit me at 80.. the frame buckled on the spot... *cries* still depresses me, it only had 200,000!!! _________________ "The closer you get to light, the greater your shadow becomes" - Kingdom Hearts

| Sorry to hear about your loss... Some people don't understand how people can get attached to a car... I am already sad because I know I have to sell my car before I move to California. |
