sorry for misplacing my post (next time will be better....).
ToggleHead: thanx a lot. I have compared (http://www.soundblaster.com/products/extigy/compare.asp) USB Sound Blaster® Extigy (your recomendation) and
USB Sound Blaster® Live! 24-bit External. the latter one seems much cheaper and quite comparable in features, so maybe SB Sound Blaster® Live! 24-bit External would be a good choice? sorry, I am a beginer in that field . |

It's similar, but the Audigy uses 24 bit outputs, where the Live uses 16-18 bit for most usage. If you were using cheaper speakers, I'd suggest the Live, but since you're talking 5500's, go with the Audigy, or even a Sonica Theater. _________________ Big enough to scare you |

I need the card to movies and listening to music. I think I will decide to buy Augidy 2 NX. apart from some disadvantages, it seems to be a very good choice for notebook card, isn't it?
thank you. |

It seems to be, but a few people have had issues with "stuttering" sound. If it's primarily for music, I'd still suggest the M-Audio Sonica Theater over the NX, just from my own ears. _________________ Big enough to scare you |

heh........I did. I have to get a camera soon, so I can show this baby off. Two FireWire 1814's, two Octane 8 channel mic preamps, LX4 monitors with the 5.1 extensions, a seperate Quattro midi interface, and an Ozone keyboard controller for the funny stuff.
You wonder why I have no money............. _________________ Big enough to scare you |
