i would give it its individual box...it will sound better....is that one of those square kickers?

with the way sound waves actually work...i am not a technical fan of anything other than round speakers...but i have not actually heard this speaker to give an accurate judgement.....i have heard the 12's, and i dont like them.....LOUD as hell....just not as clear for my ears....but yours may be different...cuz they LOOK cool as hell...=D

Exactly. They are more of a showy woofer. Great for competetions and displays, but i don't like the sound of them . . . just something different about them.

JW is right- Kickers are good for getting loud, but for the most part will not sound too great. Goes well with their slogan "Livin Loud"

Ah yes.......

By the way I am selling the kenwood and sony xplod 6x9s, and going for that proper quality- Alpine S type 6x9s and Alpine E type 17cm Coaxial speakers to provide integrated sound with the Alpine HU (bass engine ready etc.) and to keep up with the Subs. Will it be OK to power these off the HU though? I would have thought so after being told the RMS wattage is the important figure to look at.

My E type 17cm Coaxial speakers will come with two tweeters (those small round things). Ive heard of them before, but what exactly are they?

Tweeters are basically the opposite of subs. They produce the high's in music. Usually anywhere from 5khz to 20khz. Subs are more for the 20hz to 120hz range.
Mid's (bigger tweeters) pick up the rest. Usually your 6*9's and whatnot.

You should be fine to run your speakers off of that head unit.
