FYI
It seems the fix for the "new" 2.41 nForce 2 drivers that was "corrected" with ver. 2.42 aren't what they had planned.

Quote:
Updated May 23, 2003: If you have previously downloaded the 2.41 or 2.42 nForce kits and have experienced any problems please follow these instructions on how to re-install previous drivers.

go to http://www.nvidia.com/content/drivers/drivers.asp

It looks like they are asking everyone to roll back to ver. 2.03

Ahhh, isn't that nice, some removal instruction. Isn't that cute.

How about an apology for screwing up bigtime. Nvidia was bragging at the convention that I was at that they were releasing these drivers and they were going to be great.

Man, lately can they do anything right?

hehe....yeah, but all of NVidia's problems have been in the last year.
Prior to that, ATI couldn't touch NVidia.......it will come back to that soon enuf.

How about a big "kiss my arse" to ATI for the YEARS of crap they put out on the market!
For many millenia, ATI's drivers could and would corrupt an entire OS.

ATI= Another Trashed Installation
ATI= All Together Incompetent
ATI=Advancements in Technology Ignored

I feel about them much the way I do intel...........BLECH!

ATI lately has pretty well made their drivers foolproof. I have never had a botched install other than when I screwed it up being impatient and cancelling half way through.

In todays market, ATI is the way to go, better performance per dollar, better support, and better 2D and 3D quality all around.
