is it possible to uninstall office 97 w/out install disks?

when i try to remove it from the "add/remove" program list it says i need to insert the install disks. problem is i bought that program awhile ago and don't have the disks anymore.

i recently installed office xp, which i thought would override the older version but that didn't happen.

any help would be very much appericated.
