Resident Evil 4

OK, it's not for PC, but does anyone else have it? I've only been able to play for an hour or so thus far (cursed education) but it is definitely one of the most involving and chilling games I've ever played.

Just opening this up for discussion if anyone's interested

DAMN YOU! I live in the UK so I don't get Resident Evil 4 until 18th March

They're all right, hehe. It is both brilliant and amazing, lol. The gameplay is top-notch, and the atmosphere is downright chilling (play this one alone in the dark

As for the graphics, it's just amazing to see what they can drag out of the gamecube. I know I'll probably get bashed and/or flamed for this one, but in all honesty, the graphics on this game meet and beat those of Halo 2 (yes, I have played it) It's just stunning the level of detail that went into this game...I can use my sniper rifle to zoom in on just about anything and see minute details...grain in wood, stubble on enemies 200 yards away, the list goes on... I'm really eager to play Halflife 2 now, just to see how the graphics compare. I'm sure HL2 will win, but I am just constantly amazed at how realistic RE4 looks.

Well that's enough of me rambling for now...I need to get back to the game!

I think Capcom needs to think of a different original idea instead of constantly makeing games based on some guy running around with a gun shooting zombies :) how RE games is that now? 10? 15? lmao

Anyway, maybe you should do some research before you bash a game...RE4 is not like any of the other games...there are no zombies, among other things. But anyway, since your comment was mostly useless to this thread, why did you post it?

ps - Fox, OUCH I just realized that you said March 18...I had been thinking you said January all this time

RE4 rocks my socks! I love this game.

I consider myself a "true" gamer, owning a badass computer (P4 3.6ghz, 1GB pc3200, nvidea 6600GT, ect), a Gamecube, a Xbox, a PS2, and a GBA. I appreciate all games on all systems as long as they are good. I only get about one game per system every month or two. I have been blessed with such great games lately like Half-Life 2 (absolute best of PC), KOTAR II (best of Xbox... I just dont like the new Halo

), GTA: San Andreas (by leaps and bounds best of PS2), and I just got RE4 (the holy grail of scary action adventure games on GCB). My bank has been bled dry over the past few months because of this, but I love each of these games.

RE4 is truely one of the best games in ANY platform, year, or category, ever made. Everybody should check it out if you can appreciate a truely wonderful game experience.

.. but i won't be playing it.. coz i love RE Movies.. I don't want any spoilers for next sequel

No need to worry about that. The movies haven't a lick of ANYTHING to do with the games. The movies had Jill, nemesis, zomies/dogs and lickers...Alice isn't in the games.

Where did you see it on TV? I hope not on the Tech TV/G4 review, cause they gave some monster spoilers out /sigh

I hate them...

Anyway, I vote with american dream...you should all give this game a try, it's truly great
