| my sound card and my usb port both share the same IRQ number. if i try to use both at the same time, i have problems. can i change the IRQ number? hope this is in the right section. |

| You can probably change the IRQ in BIOS, or you can try changing card slots. |

changing slots usually works best...also might look in BIOS and see if you can change assign "usb irq"....might work one way and not the other. _________________ .

Are you using your sound card in the top PCI slot?

| thanks thats fixed the problem sound card now has a different IRQ.it was already in the lowest slot so i just put it in the next slot up. thanks again. |
