Hey,
I'm currently helping a friend fix his Celeron 466MHz overclocked system. And i've ran into a few problems i've never seen before.
The BIOS does not auto detect HD's and CDRoms. And when manually select teh cdroms, one of them works, and the other one doesnt, but the light stays on the drive that does not work. He has IDE1 and IDE2 on his mobo. I'm wondering if its the IDE cable or the mobo itself that is causing these problems. Other than that i've tried playing around with the jumpers, but that didnt help. Please advise. Don't think this is sufficient information, if you think u kno what the problem maybe, please ask me for more information, that's all i can think of to provide right now. Thanks!

| IF I MAY HELP IN SOME WAY WITH THIS IDEA, HAVE YOU CK'ED THE CLOCKING OF THE IDE CABLE IT SELF ,BI THIS I MEAN PIN#1ON DRIVE TO PIN#1 ON MOBO,ALSO TRY TO ONLY ID ONE DRIVE AT A TIME TO SEE IF A CABLE PROBLEM OR DRIVE ISSUE. |
