A few month ago (about 5) i worked on my antispyware project. First i made a little engine to use for the antispyware software but because the antispyware script was a long way before it was finnished i made this taskmanager first.

This program is a taskmanager that
- List your running programs
- List your startupitems (This includes the server startups and all the registry keys used by spyware)
- Gives a view about the currently programs that are running and has a startup property
- Gives a list of programs that use the internet and show the connections
- Can remove the startup items and currently running processes
- Gives a list of known running processes with its information (it has a small db with process information)

The purpose of this taskmanager is that it was build as engine for the antispyware but i didn't had time to finnish it. Cause the antispyware i wanted to make has a new sort of engine that looks for suspicious modules used by antispyware so it hasn't to use a db with spyware.

I need your opionion on this small software its just a release before beta and it only works on xp. Its still buggy but it works most of the time.
- Known problems are by using programs that use a lot of connections (above 200) the program will crash

Now i know posting a execute file is suspicious but i hope someone tests it and gives its opinion.

For the things i know
- The file is virus free
- The software needs outbound access (if you are running application prottection)

This is a VERY risky thing to be asking the TN members to undertake.

Having them open their outbound access is dangerous, especially for a beta program.

A litle mistake it doesnt use the outbound access. It was in the newer version that has the hostname ping function on connections that requested outbound access.

Why does a taskmanager program require internet ping options for?

Well, if his program were monitoring network programs, a ping would help show incoming and outgoing ports. Something Windows task manager doesn't do. Would also return your network domain info and such.

I'm a glutton for punishment, I tried it on a seperate Windows install, it's virus free, believe me, I checked.

Looks good, seems to work ok. A bit fancy for a task manager, but if you're using it as a front-end for an anti-spy, not too shabby.

Oh, I removed it right after I used it, too.......not something I'd use regularly.
