A nice review Nate, but you need to put it through its paces and see if it melts like the earlier model Hardcano10 that I had. I couldn't find note of it online, but perhaps it says in the "thin" manual or on the packaging what fan loads it supports. I know that the '10' supposedly had one controler channel for light load and another for "heavier" load (no less than 10W). My Vantec Tornado 92mm (1A @ 12V = 12W) definitely burnt out the controler over a short period of time.

DOES ANYONE ELSE THINK THIS THING LOOKS LIKE A CAR STEREO????

I could find no info on spec. for max amp draw. I'm no expert on this topic, but I doubt that the Vantec fan was drawing 12W the entire time it was running. Nevertheless, the Hardcano 13 has been running in my main machine 24/7 for about a week with no problems. I'll post if anything bad happens.

I'm after one of these for my tsunami case, does the SD slot also take miniSD cards? And I don't suppose Tt make a silver version do they?

Oh and also, if it were in the tsunami, which card+card reader slot would allow the door to be closed when in use? I'm guessing the MS cards wouldn't allow the front door to close because they are rather long cards. Hence why i'm asking if the reader takes miniSDs.

Cheers.

I'm unfamiliar with mini SD, so I can't comment on that issue. I've never seen a silver one and i think they are available in black only. I have only used SM cards aqnd they protrude about .25" from the faceplate when in use.

Bought the a2259 hardcano13 recently, although i'm not a control freak so the fan controls the case fans only, i leave the main cooling to the motherboard. But i have a real problem with the card reader. My system is a abit motherboard with the 955x chipset, hosting the intel 3.4ghz x2 dual core processor, The os is 64bit windows XP, hence the driver disk doesnt work, and i cant find a 64bit driver for it, hence the card reader slots arnt dectected. Any 1 got a soloution to this wee problem

Cheers

Seeing the 64bit version is still in its trial period, the only thing you can do is wait until the driver is released.
