Ok, I am thining about throwing a water-cooled system in my computer. Mainly I'm bored, ran out of stuff to buy, and this is where I want to go next. So I just have one really quick question for all of you guys here:

Right now my SP-94 and Vantec Tornado keep my system at 25-26C Idle and 38-40C under full load... am I going to see much of a temp difference with a basic water-cooled system? Or am I going to need to invest in a butt-load of extras to drag my temps down much farther? Now, bear in mind, even if it IS only a 1-2C drop, I'll probably end up doing it anyways. Eh, what else am I going to do?

Yeah, you'll see a decent drop, but it does depend on the system you buy. Figure you'll probably see a 5 degree drop at idle temps, but you'll see 10 degrees or more at load temps, that's where water cooling really shines. With air cooling, the fan and heat spreader can only remove so much heat, water cooling maintains a much more even temp spread.

depending on what the room temperature is, i doubt the idle temp will change much, the load temp will be lower though...
If you really want low temps get a vapochill unit... nothing like a full load temp of 5C

honestly you wont see much of a drop over what you have now. And if you went with one of the cheapy all in one systems you may even see a rise in temps. So unless you want to get deep into it you wont see much of a change and even with going all out the temps arent going to be that different.
