hello im using mbm5 and i dunno why but the cpu temp is 49C-52C and the case temp is 34C-35C for the past days with just internet and photoshop...my question is that aint the cpu temp suppsoe to be lower than the case temp?

also i want to make it cooler so please recommend me some cooling device so i can get it to around 5 to 10C lower please, color led would be nice and something that is quite also because my fans are pretty loud

what i have:
Gigabit Cooler-Pro PCU21-VG cpu heatsink
A 120mm fan with ball bearing i dunno if its helping or not
and two other fan that came with the case its both 60mm or 80mm

case- Linkworld 319 (got it at fry's electronics)
msi pt880 neo mobo
intel p4 3.0Ghz Prescott
kingston 2x512mb 3200 400Mhz hyper x
350W PSU that came with the case (planning on getting a new one soon any suggestions?)
3 HD 1 WD SATA and 2 Maxtor ATA
XFX NVidia GeForce 5200 128MB video
2 optical drive dvd+rw and dvd rom

No, the cpu is usually higher than the case, since the cpu is the part that is generating heat
Well problem #1... it's a prescott, those things normally run extremely hot!
so those cpu temps are actually normal, if a bit low.
If you want to drop them more, thermal right makes a big aluminum heatsink that takes a 120mm fan(can't remember model name) and zalman has a copper heatsink with a 120 fan (cnps 7700)

they'll prob drop temps by about 5c and be pretty quiet.

Oh yeah, the 3.0 Prescott is like a small oven. Don't worry about it, it's supposed to run hot, nothing bad will happen to it. Unfortunately, that's also why they really aren't all that good at OC'ing, without some pretty hefty cooling stuff.

Getting a good (highlight good) aftermarket cooler will most likely help things alot,

the stock cooling is good enought for not overclocking since intell spent some time enginering the heatsink

also does any one know it the new celeron prescott cores run hot 2?

Dude, your temps look good for a prescott, an aftermarket hsf should help tho.
