Hey all,

I've just got the Logitech Z-560 yesterday, and i must say, it literally blew me away..i can't even turn the volume knob up to 50% or my room with have its internal little earthquake..lol..one thing i've noticed is that the wires semi-color coded. I've heard many circuit and fuse problems wiht this set, but this may be why. The wires from teh sup to the speakers actually has a difference. If you look carefully, one has WHITE STRIPES, and one doesn't. So i went to the instruction manual, and as i thought, the white stripes go into the RED, and the other wire goes in teh black banana connector. Overall the system is great, i'd give it a 9.5/10. the .5 docked goes to the sub. There's a power switch on it, that's not a problem, but when you turn it on, because of the high frequency, you hear it buzzing jsut a slite bit, but you get used to it. Though it's hardly noticeable, but sometimes its a pain. That's about it for now..if you have any more questions about the Z-560, i'll be glad to answer them. I got em for $200CDN, it was on sale at futureshop and they gave me a gift card and i used it right away.

Cyrus,

Thank you for the information on your new purchase. I hope you like them.

I might have a fix for you with respect to the humming problem. Try turning your subwoofer volume down a bit. Having it set to high can cause the buzzing sound.

You probably only need it to be set at 50%.

Yeh, my bass setting is at 50%. The buzzing i'm talking about is wiht the computer and speakers off, just the switch of the sub is left on. It's very slight. It's the sound of high voltage electric cables you see on streets. Thanks for the tip though.
