maybe make sure all the screws on the sub are in place?

this happened to me in my car when one of my subs rattled some mounting screws loose.

Regarding this clicking i hear that i posted about, i heard it when the bass wasent all that loud, ok, it was pretty much shaking the room, but for what this thing should be able to do do, i shouldent be hearing this noise, i was at about 14 out of 20, listning to the song Dont cha - PussyCat dolls, and on that large bass that goes from high to low, sounds kind of like a drum, i hear that wood vibrating on desk noise again, the sub was at only 4, it sound like its the actual sub making the noise, i dont know if its just the sound card as i have never had speakers of this quality on my pc before.

That is the sound system rejecting crappy music.

If you are hearing a weird noise, you might have already damaged the system when you were over doing the bass earlier.

Can you record this sound so we can hear?

by tight do you mean there should be no gap inbetween it and the main box?

Can you post a pic of what you are talking about?

Did you check out the review to look for the same gap?

Hello, I have question regarding this speaker.

Do I need a good sound card to get a good performance for this speaker??

I check on Logitech website and it say

The onboard decoder(Z-5500) must be used in order to experience true 5.1 surround sound. To use the Z680/5500 onboard decoder, the speakers must be connected to your sound source or PC via digital optical or coaxial cable and the "effect" setting must be set to PL2 Movie for DTS and Dolby Digital on the Control Pod.

Does that mean, I just need a normal soundcard with optical output to performs the speakers at its ultimate since it have its own decoder?

Which soundcard will you recommend?

Also,

Do I have to use Optical connection or Coaxial connection to get dolby digital or DTS?

And about the creative soundblaster live value sound card, will I have Dolby® Digital or DTS?

What does dolby digital or DTS really is? It will have dolby digital if the DVD have it with a 5.1speaker , or do I need a 5.1 speaker with dolby digital ?

>_< I am confused

2 more questions.

What type of optical cable should I buy? I saw a blue and silver series of optical cable (belkin brand). The website say silver series of optical cable is the best but the price is double or triple than the blue series. Is the silver series of optical cable is needed?

Is the Soundcard below worth to buy ? It have optical output.

CHAINTECH AV-710 7.1 Channels 24-bit 192KHz PCI Interface Sound Card

Get a soundblaster live value card for cheap.

You will need the optical or coaxial to take advantage of true dts surround.

No, of course the subwoofer size hasn't changed. But some say there's distorsion with the sub.. I don't believe'em but I wanna learn if it's true or not.. by the way, I wonder why logitech decided to change the size of the box.. Is it related to easy holding and carrying or something else?

Cuz its the package that was reviewed, the new package is an unknown. Untill someone who has owned both packages tells us they are identical or at least as good as eachother we stick to what was reviewed

Seeing the more packaging, the chance it was damaged during shipping and the fact that it seems most times the older ones are better.

I know some people's writings ,they say they used or had a chance of listening to boths different types.. according to them the new package's contents are not as qualified than the older one.. again they say the subwoofer of new type has some distortion problems at high levels of master volume.. Personally, I didn't have a chance to listen to the new type, but I wonder why Logitech has changed the box or includings? Is it possible that logitech has changed the material of the sub? Is the new package type officially declared?
