Tommy like-y!! Ah, looks like a good old gateway full sized tower housing the p1 and pentium pro systems with all the plastic taken off. . . know that all too well.

Steel is not ugly. Borrow an arcwelder and patch it up. That steel won't vaporize . . . much.

Seriously though. props for posting such an atrosity up =P

I think you should glue a bunch of old parts to it. Anything with a micro chip or a electronic board of any kind. Would look phat.

Hoe, I have some textured rustoleum spray paint that gives a GALVANIZED finish. I tried it out on some MDF...might look cool. Next time you gut the thing we should try it!

Hey, you could even just slap the mobo and everything under a desk and it would be a god server.

Literall screw it under the desk and out of the way.

Nope.

Perfectly safe if you use small spacers to allow for a small airspace under the mobo.

Actually I had my old server in a picture frame and mounted on my wall (bare bones, not the whole case ). It looked kinda cool. Had a tv-out card and used an old LCD 3 inch "pocket" TV as the monitor.

I have an old "everything onboard" Cyrix MX board, I might put it to some use and make a clock out of it (LCD displays are cheaper than ever).

Mount it with spacers to set it off fromthe wall, then several more spacers and a piece of plexiglass. This way it is pseudo protected and looks strange at the same time....lol

A pentium II or III Xeon would STILL be a cool thing to display, but maybe a PII would be a litle "lack luster". Still, it would be kinda cool for a "retro" computing feel. A wall display that serves (servers? ) a purpose does have a nice ring to it.
